Veterans Day 2022 Celebrations at CWI

Published: November 9, 2022

College of Western Idaho (CWI) will celebrate Veterans Day with a handful of activities to pay tribute and honor those who are serving or have served our country.

CWI Patriot Range is a flag display that includes 200 American flags and each branch of the military’s flag. The flags will be displayed on the west lawn of Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB) from Monday, Nov. 7, through Monday, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m.

The College will also be hosting a Veteran Career Fair on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11. There will be various employers for current and former active service members to meet with, network, and learn about potential job opportunities.

Lastly, CWI will host a Mental Health First Aid Brown Bag lunch to discuss topics and experiences that are relevant to supporting the mental health of veterans.

The Brown Bag lunch series was created to create an opportunity for CWI employees who have been, or are interested in being, trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) to connect, discuss experiences, refresh skills, and chat about mental health and related topics. Each Brown Bag chat is facilitated by MHFA Instructors.
