Practical Nursing Applications Now Being Accepted

College of Western Idaho Practical Nursing Program

Published: September 1, 2022

College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Practical Nursing program application period is open now through Oct. 28, 2022.

The Practical Nursing certificate prepares students to become licensed practical nurses by providing a combination of theory and laboratory instruction with clinical experience in healthcare facilities. Students who complete the program will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam to become licensed practical nurses (LPN).

"If you are considering a career in nursing, CWI's Practical Nursing program is a great option," said 2020 graduate, Brooke Christensen. "The professors are very knowledgeable and involved and want to see their students succeed. I loved that the program was only three semesters long – it really flew by. I became closer than expected with some of my classmates and formed life-long friendships with them. I highly recommend applying and taking the first steps to becoming a nurse!"

Completion of the program application process is required to be considered for admission into the program. Details on the application process and program requirements are available on the Practical Nursing program page.
