You’ve just finished your first few weeks of Fall 2022 semester, and now you’re ready to explore all of what College of Western Idaho (CWI) has to offer. Student Affairs has put together opportunities for all CWI students to explore all the resources on and off campus, while enjoying fun activities and tasty food at CWI’s Fall 2022 Student Resource Fair.
Students will be able to learn about and chat with various clubs, organizations, offices, and departments on campus. Student Affairs say this two-day event will give new and returning students an opportunity to learn about the CWI community and gain important information regarding campus life to have a successful, enjoyable academic journey.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Ada County Campus Pintail Building
Thursday, Sept. 8
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Nampa Campus Academic Building
“The Resource Fairs are meant to introduce students to the many resources and opportunities available to them throughout the semester,” said Student Leadership and Programs Coordinator, Harrison Watts. “We partner with both internal and external offices and departments to provide information on topics such as counseling, involvement on campus, careers and internships, financial awareness, and more! If you are interested in learning about more ways to be involved in the community or on campus, this is a great way to get a head start. We hope to see you there!”
Each location will also have fun activities for students to enjoy, like a DJ, yard games, climbing wall, and more. As well there will be free burritos (chicken, asada, and vegetarian) from Nampa’s La Pantera Market #2 for CWI students who visit a designated number of tables at the fair.
Those are not the only reason students will want to visit the fair’s booths and tables! Two lucky students who complete in a “scavenger hunt” type challenge will be entered in a raffle for a chance to receive a $75 Amazon gift card. The names will be chosen by Student Affairs after the fair is over.
