Early Season Plant Sale at Connections Project

Published: April 20, 2018

Members of the Horticulture Club and Horticulture Technology students will be holding an early season plant sale April 26, 2018, from 3-6 p.m. at College of Western Idaho’s annual Connections Project held at the Nampa Campus Academic Building. Early season offerings will include herbs, native and drought tolerant perennials, and hardy succulents. While you’re at the sale, check out the Native Plant Garden and learn about how native plants and integrated landscaping can enhance gardens to be habitat for wildlife and pollinators.

Students involved in the Monarch Butterfly Conservation Project will also be on-hand during the event presenting results of their research about monarchs and milkweeds. From 9:00-11:30 a.m., students from the Horticulture and Biology programs will be planting milkweed in the new experimental garden as part of the ongoing monarch butterfly and milkweed research at the College.

Additional Plant Sales:

  • Native Plant Sale – Saturday, April 21
  • Horticulture’s Annual Plant Sale – Thursday, May 10
