The College of Western Native (CWI) Plant Garden is a living exhibition that showcases many plants of the Intermountain West and Rocky Mountains. The primary purpose of the display is to educate the public about the remarkable plants that have adapted to the unique climate conditions of this region. The display further serves as a demonstration of how native plants can be used to create attractive, low-maintenance and water-wise landscaping that enhances natural biodiversity.
CWI employees and students are invited to the Fall Native Plant Garden clean-up this Friday, Nov. 13, from 4-6 p.m. at the Native Plant Garden at CWI’s Nampa Campus Academic Building. We’ll be pruning, weeding, raking, and transplanting plants in preparation for winter. Please bring work gloves, weather appropriate clothing, and hand tools for pruning and weeding (optional).
