College of Western Idaho (CWI) is a great place to do all this and more! 

  • Get started as a non-degree seeking student by apply for admission and completing the steps outlined below.

Non-Degree Admission Process

  • 1. Complete the FREE Admission Application

    Apply to CWI

    • View the Academic Calendar for important dates and deadlines specific to each semester.
    • The admission application should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
      • Creating a password for your account will enable you to return to your application at any time to complete.
    • 16- year-old applicants must additionally complete a Petition for Underage Admission.

    Once your application has been submitted, be sure to add onestop@cwi.edu as a contact to ensure you are receiving important communication from the College.

  • 2. Pay Tuition

    Non-degree seeking student are not eligible for federal financial aid. As such, please be sure to pay for your classes by the Tuition and Fees Deadline listed on the Academic Calendar.

    CWI accepts cash, credit card, payment plans, and sponsor payment.

    • Pay tuition and fees online via myCWI with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).

     

    • Note: You will not be able to sign in to myCWI until you are official accepted as a student and set up your student account. 
    • Pay tuition and fees by mailing in a check payable to College of Western Idaho.

     

    • Please write your student ID number on the bottom left of the check.

     

    • Mail check to:

    • Pay tuition and fees over the phone by calling One Stop Student Services at 208.562.3000 with your credit card information. 
  • 3. Verify Academic Skill Level

    Some classes at CWI have prerequisites. Though not required for admission of non-degree seeking students, it is recommended you provide the following items to ensure you are placed in the correct classes: 

    • ACT or SAT test scores and/or CWI Math and English Placement test scores 
      • Placement scores must be within three years of the first day you intend to begin classes. College credit placement has no age limit.
    • High school transcript with SAT/ACT test scores included
    • Official or unofficial college transcripts
